2025 Budget: ₦8.9bn Budget For Information Ministry Inadequate- Senate

The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, budget of ₦8.9 billion allocation in the 2025 budget proposal has been rejected by the Senate.

According to the Chairman Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Senator Kenneth Eze, described the budget as inadequate.

He disclosed this while announcing the decision to reject the proposal when the Information Minister, Mohammed Idris, appeared before the committee to defend the ministry’s appropriation.

He noted that the decision to reject the budget is unanimous and had been adopted by all members of the committee.
