As part of measures to ensure victory for All Progressives Party (APC)in Lagos Sate in the forthcoming council poll, The Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran, popularly addressed as Jandor has said that victory is certain for All Progressives Party in the forthcoming local government council poll fixed for Saturday, July 12, 2025, reports Business TodayNG.
Jandor stated this on Monday o Monday,30 June, 2025, while inaugurating 24-man state Independent Campaign Council (ICC), 57 LG and 377 Ward Coordinators to mobilise votes for the candidates of the party
Speaking at the inauguration campaign council at the Liberty House in Ikeja, Lagos State, Jandor stated that he deems it necessary to constitute the campaign team to support the APC and the candidates, saying that the victory of the candidates is important to the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
According to him, he deems it necessary to support the candidates with funds and campaign materials, adding that “victory for one is victory for all”.
“We are nurtured to nurture the party. If you call yourself a party stalwart you are expected to do so and show it.” In Lagos4Lagos, we have no candidate but as an aspect of the party we must do everything to support the party for victory at the 2025 council elections. We ensure that in every Ward we have coordinators to intensify the campaign and they would go from door to door campaign.
” We have here the State, LG and Ward Coordinators for inauguration and they would go back to their wards to inaugurate their members to begin the campaign. We also have a 24-man State Coordinators and they know what they have to do and I trust them they would do the job and deliver on the election day, ” Jandor said at the well attended event, just as he also expressed confidence all the APC candidates would win, stating that the party is known for election victory.
Speaking at the event a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Adefulire-Orelope, commended Adediran for setting up the campaign council, saying it is an indication that Jandor is a party man.
While stating that Adediran was founding member of the APC before moving to the PDP, and that she is happy he is back to the APC, Orelope called on voters to come out in enmass to participate in the local government elections, reaffirming that the Council Chairmen would be monitored closely by the party.
” We formed APC together before he decided to pitch his tent elsewhere but now back home. With this, he showed spirit of sportsmanship and resilience to support the candidates. Jandor is a party man and a grassroots mobiliser. Mobilisation must start from the street down to the state level. I pray his effort would not be in vain. This is time for electioneering campaign to win more support and votes for our candidates,” she said , just as she also urged the Coordinators to join hands with the party’s grassroots canvassers to intensify the campaign and win more votes for the party.
The Lagos APC Deputy Chairman, representing the State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, in his own thanked Adediran for the support, saying that with his support for the candidates, it is certain the party would win the council elections.
Mayegun, while urging the electorate electorates to come out in large numbers out to cast their votes for the APC, said he is confident that ruling party will emerge victorious
” I am so much confident more than before that we are going to win more votes with this inauguration. What most I noticed in this gathering is its youths inclusion. I have confidence that our winning in 2027 is not just a winning but serious winning. I thank Jandor for the support of the 377 Councillors and 57 Chairmen with funds and campaign materials.
” On behalf of our leaders throughout the state particularly the State Chairman. We appreciate alot. Infact, your efforts are recognized throughout the state. We thank you for putting these huge funds into the council campaign,” he said.
