3 Die, 16 Injure After Bus Rams Into Truck In Yobe Village

At least three people have died and 16 others were injured on Saturday when a Toyota Hiace bus collided with a truck in Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.

A security analyst Zagazola Makama, who confirmed the development through a statement on his x handle on Sunday, said the crash happened on Saturday around 2:50 p.m. at Zangon Kanwa village.
According to Makama, the bus, which was carrying passengers from Jakusko to Jajimaji Market, lost control while trying to overtake a tricycle and slammed into a Volvo truck coming from the opposite direction?
The victims who died on the spot were identified as the bus driver, Ibrahim Makeri, and two passengers, Adamu Isiya and Alhaji Shaibu.
Sixteen others sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken, along with the bodies, to the Specialist Hospital in Gashua, Bade LGA.
Doctors confirmed the three deaths while the injured are receiving treatment.
