33-year-old Man Arrested For Writing FCTA Promotion Examination For His Father

A 33-year-old man, Monsuru Musa, was caught writing the FCT Civil Service Commission’s promotion examination on behalf of his father, Musa Mohammed, a staff member of the FCT Fire Service.

The incident occurred on the third day of the exercise, held at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) premises, when security personnel deployed at the instance of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike apprehended him.

According to statement released today by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, via his X account, that both  father and son have since been handed over to the police for further investigation after making statements to operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

He said he was directed by the father to sit for the exam on his behalf.

Asked how old his father is, he said between 67 to 68. But the father claimed he will be 60 by February 2027.

Interrogated further, Musa Mohammed said he finished Secondary School in 1982 and Primary School in 1977.

Meanwhile both the father and son have been handed over to the police for further investigations after they have made their statements to the DSS operatives.
