ALLIANZ Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Africa has announced three appointments in its Property line of business. Effective July 1 2020, Ronald Dodo-Tabaziva will be joining AGCS Africa as a Lead Property Underwriter. He is a Fellow and Associate of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Insurance and Risk Management Degree. He joins AGCS Africa from HDI Global SA, where he manages the local Property Portfolio. “Ronald brings over eighteen years of experience, knowledge, and expertise of the South African and Pan African insurance market. He is one of the leading property underwriters in the region, and we look forward to his contribution to AGCS Africa,” says AGCS Africa Head of Property, Energy, and Construction, Robert TerMorshuizen. Jaleel Fakir has been appointed to the role of Senior Property Underwriter effective June 1, 2020. “Jaleel has been with AGCS Africa for five years and has served the company with distinction as an Underwriter in MidCorp. I would like to congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion. I am confident that he will continue to provide a high standard of service to our business partners,” says TerMorshuizen. Ryan Brown has been promoted from Junior Underwriter to Property Underwriter from July 1, 2020. He has been with AGCS Africa for four years. “This promotion is a recognition of the good work he has done, and the increasing responsibility he is carrying. I wish Ryan all the best with his new position,” explains TerMorshuizen.
