Leadway Capital & Trusts Limited said it has put strategic plans and several initiatives in place to take the leadership position in the Capital & Trusts industry in Nigeria.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mr. Ayodeji Wuraola, made the disclosure at a media parley to sensitize the public on the need for Will writing and appointment of Trustees in Lagos recently.

A will is a document that contains your direct wishes for your property and assets, as well as the care of your dependents. Failure to prepare a will typically leaves decisions about your estate in the hands of judges or state officials and may also cause family strife.

While on the other hand, Trusteeship is an arrangement whereby a person (a trustee) holds property as its nominal owner for the good of one or more beneficiaries.

According to the MD/CEO, although Leadway Capital & Trusts Limited is presently a middle tier Company, we have put strategic plans and innovative initiatives in place to take the leadership position of the industry in Nigeria.

He listed some of the initiatives to include Investment in purely digital customer experience; Focus on youth population and getting them to customer base; creation of products that the Technology and Venture Capital companies
have need for; creation of retail products that are affordable to the mass market.

Others are to curate rising diaspora population with home ties, focus on this target market and design products for them as well as take advantage of Increased Government investment in Agriculture where Trust companies are required in all the steps from farming to processing.

To actualize this, he said the Company will rely amongst other things on its unique selling points such as Reputation, Experience, Insurance, staying power, capital base and Neutrality.

“Our brand has built a stellar reputation known for excellent service efficiency, customer reliability, offering efficient financial solutions over the years.

“We have spent over 50 years growing and learning, the experience garnered over the years will be brought to bear.

“We would be banking on our sister company, Leadway Assurance to provide insurance for the assets in all our escrow and asset acquisition transactions

“The brand has been around for many years and has an impressive track record. This gives the investor the assurance that his investment is being adequately managed and can then move his focus to other ventures.

“We have adequate capital backing up our ability to deal with them. We are a neutral party in this service and would ensure strict compliance with stipulated managements,” Mr. Ayodeji Wuraola added.

The Company also depends on its various best in class products and services ranging from Investment services products to Trust services products. The Company’s Investment services products are Short Term Loan, Corporate Lease, and Annuity loans.
