Onakomaiya Becomes New President Of PILA, As Nkechi Moore Bows Out

The Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA), has inaugurated Abimbola Onakomaiya, Managing Director of Peakthrust Insurance Brokers Ltd as it’s 15th President after the successful completion of Margaret Nkechi, tenure at the helm of affairs.

The event which took place in Lagos was well attended by insurance industry stakeholders and financial industry OPERA6

In her acceptance speech she said the Association will expand its health initiatives and corporate social responsibility programs, especially the “Adopt an Orphan, Transform a Future” program, while building alliances with like-minded women in finance.

“My seven-point agenda builds on the foundation laid by my predecessors, focusing on boosting PILA’s visibility, mentorship, health, corporate social responsibility, and strengthening ties with progressive women in finance.

Others arel creating more visibility for the association, providing mentorship and sponsorship for younger members, expanding its corporate social responsibility m “As you can see, these are not standalone. They are based on the building blocks of our past presidents.”

She noted that as As I embark on this new chapter, my vision is clear: to propel women to the forefront of the insurance industry, cement PILA’s position as a driving force in the financial sector, and inspire a new generation of women leaders.”
