Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of Lagos State on Sunday, dismissed a rumoured rift with President Bola Tinubu.
He disclosed this shortly after he met with the President at his Bourdillon residence in the highbrow Ikoyi area of Lagos, noting that “it is a father-and-son affair.”
Speaking with journalists in Lagos, the governor said: “Did you see any discord?” he asked rhetorically, smiling. “Can’t you see even you, you are smiling, I am smiling, there is none.”
“You know, there are people that believe that they are more Catholic than the Pope. There are times that you see people that cry more than the bereaved.”
“There is none. There are people Catholic than the Pope; they cry more than the bereaved.
“Father and son (affairs) are things that we always ensure that we clear. There is nothing at all.
“He is my father and my leader, and we are grateful that he has given us the audience to say hello to him today,” he added.
