CIIN Lists Plans For Insurance Week, Unveils Mascot

NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR—In a bid to deepen insurance penetration and  awareness in the country, the Chartered  Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), said is set to commence the maiden edition of insurance industry’s week celebrations with the theme: “Insurance For All: Securing Nigeria Future’.“

Unveiling the activities of the insurance week via a virtual meeting, Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, the President of the institute said: the celebrations would kickstart on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with an insurance awareness walk, which would commence from NEM Insurance Plc Head office, located at Obanikoro, along Ikorodu Road and terminate at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Other activities line up for the week are as follows:

*Opening ceremony which will hold June 30, 2025 at Nigerian insurers Association (NIA) hall in Victoria Island Lagos

*Insurance awareness campaign July 1, at selected secondary schools and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs); July 2.

*Insurance outreach at Sabo Market; Oyingbo Market; Bariga Market; Shoprite and Spar.

*Hackathon competition, to take place at the College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) in Asese, Ogun State on July 3.

*July 4, is the grand finale scheduled at the Paradise Event Centre, Alagomeji, Lagos.

She said the celebration will hold  simultaneously in Abuja, Kano,Pory Harcourt and Ibadan, adding that the insurance industry would leverage the event to reward Nigerians by giving award.

She also unveiled the event’s Mascot christened, Niko.
