English Premier League giants, Arsenal have commenced negotiations to sign Nigeria Super Eagles winger international Ademola Lookman from Italian club side Atalanta, reports Business TodayNG.
The Gunnners, which approached the 27-year-old Nigerian Lookman last summer, are now reportedly, upped their interest in signing him from the Serie A club side this season.
According to reports, Atalanta value Lookman at around €50 million, including potential add-ons.
Following his heroics in the 2024 UEFA Europa League final, where he scored a stunning hat-trick to help Atalanta defeat Bayer Leverkusen and claim their first European title., Lookman’s value has sky-rocketed .
His performances in Serie A have further reinforced the case for former Charlton Athletic academy graduate to a return to the Premier League.
His performance in the last 2023/24 campaign, seen him scoring 20 goals with seven assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for the club.
Lookman’s performance propelled Atlanta to come third in the league Italian league and their eventual qualification for the money spinning the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.
