Nigerian Singer, Ayra Starr Makes History, Becomes First African Female Artist To Hit 5m Followers On Spotify

Famous Nigerian singer, Sarah Oyinkansola Aderibigbe,  popularly addressed as Ayra Starr has made history by becoming the first African female artist to hit 5 million followers on Spotify,BusinessTodayNG reports.

The ‘Rush’ exponent, who has set a new African record on streaming giant, Spotify,  recently surpassed 5 million followers on the platform, becoming the first African female artist to hit the milestone.

However, Ayra Starr still behind Tems on the list of most streamed African female artists on the platform.

While she has a total of 2.7 billion streams across all credits,  Tems has 3.8 billion streams.

Ayra Starr’s most streamed song on Spotify is “Santa”, with over 707,987,442 million streams, just as her most streamed lead single on the platform is “Rush”, with over 474 million streams.
