Just In: Buhari’s Body Arrives In Katsina For State Burial

The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari have arrived in Katsina, his home state on Tuesday, 15 July, 2025 and his remains is being taken to his home town of Daura for burial, reports Business Today NG
His body was brought out of a Nigerian Air Force aircraft at the Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina State.
This was shortly after President Bola Tinubu arrived in Katsina State ahead of the burial ceremony.
President Tinubu, accompanied by governors, ministers, lawmakers, and other top government officials, received the late President’s remains as they were lowered from the aircraft.
At the airport are Governor Dikko Radda, former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, governors, Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
Others are Ministers, former governors, former and serving Senators, Alhaji Dahiru Managl, former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NEC) amongst others.
It was also gathered that high-powered delegation from the neighbouring Republic of Niger also landed in Katsina on Tuesday morning to participate in the final burial rites of the late former Nigerian leader, who died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at a London hospital after a prolonged illness.
