Breaking: D’Tigress Qualify For 5th Consecutive AfroBasket Final After Beating Senegal 75-68

The Nigerian female basketball team, D’Tigress on Saturday, 2 August, 2025 beat Senegal 75-68 and qualified for the final of the FIBA AfroBasket final in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, reports Business Today NG.
D’Tigress came back from a six point deficit going into the final quarter to win by seven points and qualified for the final.
Recall that D’Tigress have not lost an AfroBasket match since 2015, hence maintained its 10 year unbeaten run going into the final.

This the Nigerian female basketball team is also chasing its fifth consecutive AfroBasket title and seven overall.
In the entertaining semi final match on Saturday, 2 August, 2025, Nigeria won three out of the four quarters to emerge overall winner in the match.
D’Tigress won the first quarter 22-17, won the second 21-20, lost the third 9-21 hence losing by 52-58 going into the last quarter. The Nigerian team however turned the tie on its head in the last quarter winning by 23-10 to win by 75-68.
