In the lead-up to this year’s edition of Insurance Meets Tech (IMT), members of the IMT 4.0 organising team paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) at its Lagos secretariat in Yaba. The visit was part of IMT’s ongoing stakeholder engagement efforts, designed to deepen industry partnerships and align with key institutions driving innovation and regulation in Nigeria’s insurance space.

At the heart of the meeting was a shared commitment to shaping the future of insurance through technology, collaboration, and trust-building. The IMT team reiterated its goal of making this year’s edition not just a conference, but a strategic platform that accelerates sector-wide transformation.

The NCRIB leadership, in turn, welcomed the engagement and acknowledged the relevance of IMT’s mission. As the official body representing registered insurance brokers in Nigeria, NCRIB has long championed professional excellence, ethical conduct, and continuous learning. The Council expressed its interest in supporting platforms like IMT that spotlight the evolution of the broker’s role in a digitising economy, particularly at a time when innovation must serve both growth and credibility.

Discussions at the meeting touched on areas of potential collaboration and broker-led conversations at IMT 2025. Both parties agreed on the need to amplify the voices of brokers in tech-focused gatherings, ensuring that innovation reflects the realities of practice, regulation, and consumer trust.

Today’s visit marks another critical step in IMT’s mission to convene the most forward-thinking voices across insurance, technology, finance, and regulation. The platform continues to build momentum, positioning itself as the definitive meeting point for those shaping the future of African insurance.
