Fenerbahce Part Ways With Mourinho After One Season

After just one season in charge of the team, Turkish football giants, Fenerbahce Sports Club on Friday, confirmed the departure of Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, a  former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss, who took over at the beginning of the 2024/2025 season.

‎The club confirmed the sacking of the controversial Portuguese tactician through a statement issued on   Friday, 29 August, 2025 on its official X account, the club said it had parted ways

‎”We have parted ways with Jose Mourinho, who has been the manager of our Professional Football A Team since the 2024-2025 season. We thank him for his efforts for our team and wish him success in his future career, ” the statement read.

Mourinho, 62, joined Fenerbahce in June 2024.

However, his spell ended prematurely after a mixed run of results in domestic and European competitions.
