NSCDC Nabs Four Notorious Burglars In Kano

Four notorious suspected vandals and burglars who specialised in burgling houses have been arrested by the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Kano State Command.
The state NCSDC Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects through a statement issued on Friday, said the suspects were apprehended in three different local government areas of the state and had since confessed to committing the offences.
“In the course of our determined effort and intensified operations within the state, we have arrested some notorious suspected vandals and burglars who specialised in burgling into houses at three different locations in the state.

“These places include Dambatta, Fagge and Tarauni LG areas. The suspects have so far confessed to committing the offences. Moreover, all the suspects were caught in possession of the stolen items,” the statement read.
According to state NCSDC image-maker, the exhibits recovered from the suspects include nine mobile phones, one bicycle, three standing fans, three solar panels, and one flat-screen television.
Others , Abdullahi said, included two bundles of wires, two burglar windows, iron, three MP3 speakers, one small solar panel, one power bank, and three motor vehicle tyres.
“The arrest of these suspected criminals is part of our continued effort to forestall the nefarious activities of vandals and other criminal elements in Kano State,” he added.
He explained that the cases have been thoroughly investigated and the suspects will soon be charged to court.
“The NSCDC, under the able leadership state commandant in Kano state, Bala Bodinga, remains committed to discharging its core mandates of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure as well as protecting the lives and properties of the public,” he said.
He, however, appealed to the general public to assist in the fight against all forms of criminal acts by sharing useful security information or reporting suspicious movements of criminal elements across the state to the NSCDC and other security agencies.
