Senator Ned Nwoko on Saturday affirmed the authenticity of the leaked medical reports of Regina Daniels currently circulating online.
This is contained in a two-part statement posted on Senator Nwoko’s Instagram page and signed by the head of his Communication Team.
In the statement, the Senator addressed ongoing concerns about substance abuse involving his estranged wife, noting that multiple medical facilities detected dangerously high levels of several substances in her system. He added that she was rushed to a hospital unconscious on October 3 following a drug overdose.
Recall that Serenity Royale Hospital earlier denied an alleged medical report claiming Daniels was diagnosed with a substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detox program. The hospital’s denial focused on not being responsible for circulating the documents.
However, Nwoko clarified the hospital’s position, insisting that the medical reports are genuine.
“A medical report concerning Regina Nwoko has been circulating online. The reports are genuine. The rehabilitation centre only clarified that it did not publish or circulate the documents, which is expected because medical institutions must protect client confidentiality. They did not deny authoring the reports; their concern is the leak itself,” the statement reads.
The statement also urged the public to read the full reports, which it says consistently document a severe health condition.
“Both the toxicology report and the Serenity Hospital report confirm the presence of the same substances, all at levels that pose serious health risks: marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates at extremely elevated levels, and alcohol at a critically dangerous level,” the team stated.
It further referenced a Nizamiya Hospital report dated October 3, adding:
“She was brought into the hospital unconscious from a drug overdose. These facts are documented, consistent, and deeply alarming.”
The Senator’s team additionally alleged that Daniels’ siblings have been a major impediment to her recovery, accusing them of “persistent interference” with the efforts of the rehabilitation centre.
“They openly stated that they do not see anything wrong in giving her alcohol and weed, even while she was undergoing rehabilitation, and they have continued enabling her substance use,” the statement claimed.
According to the team, Senator Nwoko’s insistence on therapy is driven by his belief that “several of Regina’s recent decisions are not coming from a stable and healthy frame of mind.”
