Fire Breaks Out at Terminal 1 of MMIA Lagos

A fire has broken out at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed that its firefighting teams are currently at the scene, working to contain the fire and ensure the safe evacuation of passengers and airport personnel.

FAAN has also mobilized additional support from the Lagos State Government, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), and other emergency response agencies to reinforce containment efforts.

Authorities have confirmed that no casualties have been recorded at this time. Passengers and members of the public are strongly advised to avoid the affected area until further notice.

FAAN assured that verified updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
