CThe Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, PhD, says the Commission’s budgeting process is guided by equality and respective production ratios among the nine Niger Delta states.
Speaking at the 2025 NDDC Partners for Sustainable Development Budget Conference, Ogbuku explained that equality among the states account for 50 per cent of the allocation framework, while production ratio determines the remaining 50 per cent.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on NDDC, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, described participants as partners and stakeholders in Niger Delta development.
He encouraged stakeholders to present viable infrastructure projects and development programmes, reaffirming that the NDDC is willing and able to build partnerships that will deliver meaningful results across the region.
As stakeholders prepare for the 2026 Partners for Sustainable Development Conference, the message remains clear: sustainable development requires coordinated planning, shared responsibility and strong partnerships.
