The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to constructive engagement, effective labour relations and industrial harmony.
He disclosed this while receiving the newly elected national leadership of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), led by its National Executive President, Comrade Otunba Salimon Akanni Oladiti, at the NNPC Towers, Abuja, on Tuesday.
Congratulating the new executives on their emergence and the seamless transition, the GCEO recognised the key role of labour unions in promoting workers’ interests and fostering a conducive working environment, noting that sustained dialogue with organised labour engenders exchange of ideas, strengthens mutual understanding, and resolves issues through established channels.
In his remarks, Comrade Oladiti described NUPENG as a constructive partner in supporting the smooth operations of NNPC Limited, stating the union’s readiness to collaborate with the Management in advancing employee welfare, industrial peace and the growth of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The visit reinforces NNPC Limited’s continued engagement with its stakeholders in supporting good corporate governance and effective people management across its operations.
