The Capital Market Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CAMCAN) on Saturday honoured six firms for their contributions to the development of the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) in 2018.
At a colourful ceremony held in Lagos, CAMCAN also commended the firms for their resilience despite various challenges.
Among those honoured were Access Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc,
Nestle Nigeria Plc, Dangote Cement Plc, Transcorp Plc and FMDQ Securities Exchange.
At the ceremony attended by representatives of the Securities And Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE), among others, Access Bank Plc  was honoured for its  lowest non-performing loans on the NSE in 2018 while Zenith Bank Plc got the most Profitable Bank within the period under review.
Transcorp Plc received the award of the most improved company (Conglomerates Sector) on the NSE in 2018 while  Dangote Cement Plc got the most profitable company of the year 2018.
Also, Nestle Nigeria Plc got the  Most Profitable Company (Consumer Goods Sector) on the NSE in 2018.  FMDQ Securities Exchange was honoured  for the Development of  Nigeria’s Debt Capital Market
