Few days after celebrating 90th birthday, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Royal Majesty Owolabi Olakulehin, has passed away in the early hours of Monday, 7 July, 2025 reports Business Today NG.
.Born on July 5, 1935, Oba Olakulehin had only recently marked his milestone birthday before his sudden passing.
Oba Owolabi Olakulehin ascended the throne from the chieftaincy rank of Balogun Olubadan, following the passing of Oba (Dr.) Moshood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who died at the age of 81 on March 14, 2024.
The late king was officially presented with his staff of office by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on July 12, 2024, and was installed as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
