Breaking :Liverpool Forward Diogo Jota, Brother Die In Car Crash

MICHEAL GABRIEL—Liverpool and Portugal forward, Diogo Jota has tragically died following a car crash, according to media reports in both Spain and Portugal.A report from zamora24horas claimed that the 28-year-old Liverpool player and his brother Andre, a Penafiel player, were involved in a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday morning, 3 July, 2025, at 1:30 a.m in Zamora, a city in northern Spain.

It is also claimed that the Traffic Civil Guard, the Fire Brigade of the Provincial Council of Zamora, and the Emergency Coordination Centre (CCU) of Health Emergencies – Sacyl were dispatched to the scene.
The news comes just two weeks after Jota married his long-term girlfriend Rute Cardoso in Porto.
He recently posted pictures on social media, external of the ceremony, which took place on 22 June.
Jota helped Liverpool win the Premier League title last season and also played for Portugal as they beat Spain in the final of the Nations League in June.
“The Portuguese Football Federation (FPT) and all of Portuguese football are completely devastated,” said Pedro Proenca, head of the FPT.
“Much more than an amazing player, with almost 50 international appearances, Diogo Jota was an extraordinary person, respected by all team-mates and opponents, someone with an infectious joy and a reference in the community itself.”
