Breaking: Police Recovers Corpse Of Gift Okpara Linked To Rivers DPO’s Murder

BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR–Rivers State Police Command on Friday said it has recovered and exhume corpse of Gift Okpara Aka 2baba who was responsible for the.brutal murder of former DPO Ahoada Division, late SP. Bako Angbashim on September 8th, 2023.

The Commissioner of Police CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu while addressing the press at the Command Headquarters, Moscow Road Port-harcourt. Stated that based on credible information, the Command Tactical Operatives successfully located the shallow grave of Gift Okpara also known as 2baba, notorious lceland Cult leader in Ebrass, Ahoada West, Rivers State.

The CP extend special thanks to the Nigeria
Airforce for their invaluable support. Also
expressing sincere gratitude to everyone who
played a part in the operation, particularly officers involved in the operation who have shown extraordinary dedication and resilience.

The Commissioner also expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode
Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM for his unwavering support and invaluable advice throughout the operation.

The Commissioner of Police urged citizens to
recognize the importance of collaboration and
support to The Nigeria Police Force in fight against Crime.

Opara, popularly known as 2-Baba was declared wanted since September, 2023, over the murder of SP Bako Angbashim, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada-East local government area of Rivers State,

Opara was allegedly killed during a shootout with operatives of the State Police Command on Saturday at Idu-Ekpeye community in Ahoada-East LGA of the State.
