PRESS RELEASE— The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) in its bid to foster insurance education and embrace professionalism amongst its members, has published a book titled “Court Judgements on Insurance and Related Cases in Nigerian Courts – Aide Memoirs for Members (Volume 1)”

President/Chairman of Council, Mr. Edwin Igbiti, at the Second Quarter Edition of the Year 2024 Council Meeting of the Institute officially launched the groundbreaking publication that delves into the intricate world of insurance related court cases in Nigeria.

This compilation offers invaluable insights into the legal landscape surrounding insurance practices in the country.

Igbiti noted that he remains committed to his agenda of insurance awareness and also prioritise personal development of the Institute Members, he submitted that the compilation features a meticulous selection of Court cases that highlight various facets of insurance law, providing a comprehensive overview of the evolving legal framework governing the insurance industry in Nigeria. From coverage disputes to regulatory challenges, each case study offers a unique perspective on the complexities of insurance litigation in the Nigerian context.

The CIIN Boss described the book as an insurance law reference tool, he urged all insurance practitioners to get the publication for their use adding that the compilation serves as a vital resource for legal practitioners, insurance professionals, academics, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the legal dynamics at play in the realm of insurance in Nigeria. It is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the contributors who have endeavored to shed light on this critical aspect of Nigerian law.
