Dangote Still Remains African Richest Billionaire- Says Forbes

The latest Forbes Real- Time Billionaire Index has disclosed that Nigeria’s richest man, the Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, remains Africa’s wealthiest with a fortune of $24.4bn, as result of his investment largely cement and sugar businesses.
According to the Forbes, South Africa leads the race of African richest with seven billionaires, Egypt is second with five, Nigeria holds record of four, Morocco has three, and the likes of Eswatini, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe have one billionaire each in the list.
South Africa’s luxury goods tycoon, Johann Rupert, is second with $13.2bn fortune, followed by former diamond boss, Nicky Oppenheimer, with $10.4bn.
Egypt Nassef Sawiris is third on the list with $8.8bn fortune, and next is Eswatini’s Nathan Kirsh with a net worth of $8.0bn followed by the founder of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, whose net worth stands at $7.2bn while Nigerian Telecom and oil magnate, Mike is third on the list with $6.3bn, $6.3bn and Egypt billionaire Naguib Sawiris is next with $5.0bn wealth
The Mansour brothers; Mohamed ($3.4bn), Youssef ($1.4bn), and Yasseen ($1.2bn), complete the country’s strong showing.
Morocco contributes three names; Othman Benjelloun & family ($2.0bn), Aziz Akhannouch ($1.6bn), and Anas Sefrioui & family ($1.6bn).
Tanzania’s Mohammed Dewji sits at $2.2bn, Femi Otedola, energy investor magnate, has $1.5bn fortune while Zimbabwe’s Strive Masiyiwa has $1.3bn.
