Dr. Tinuade Sanda Not Sacked As EKEDC MD/CEO

Dr. Tinuade Sanda of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has not been dismissed but has instead been redeployed along with all other management staff, in accordance with a directive from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

This directive, aimed at addressing the ghost worker issue within EKEDC, has led to the cessation of the secondment arrangement, thereby granting EKEDC the authority to directly employ its management team as it sees fit following a comprehensive investigation.

This restructuring is designed to enhance accountability and transparency within the organization. Additionally, NERC has empowered EKEDC to enforce disciplinary measures against any staff implicated in the ghost workers scandal, ensuring the maintenance of integrity and efficiency in its operations.
