Ecobank Nigeria Unveils “Oja Oge” Pop-up Marketplace For SMEs

Ecobank Nigeria said all arrangement have been concluded for its pop-up marketplace exhibition, known as “Oja Oge” as part of its initiatives to empower Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. ‘Oja Oge” is a pop-up marketplace for fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle businesses and entertainment.

The 2-day exposition will take place at the ultra-modern Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC) complex on the highbrow, Victoria Island, Lagos on 31st August and 1st September 2024, from 1000am daily. The fair is set to witness an influx of top-flight exhibitors, fashion and lifestyle enthusiasts, social media influencers, the diplomatic community in Nigeria, including local and foreign tourists.

Announcing the fair in Lagos, Head, SME, Partnerships and Collaborations, Ecobank Nigeria, Omoboye Odu, said the objective is to provide a platform for local vendors to showcase and sell their products to a wider audience, adding that it would also offer exceptional networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, shoppers, and everyone with a stake in the everyday economy.

According to her, “‘Oja Oge’, is a one stop market for fashion and lifestyle businesses. It would provide premium entertainment and is aimed at bringing together exhibitors and shoppers, to a marketplace. It provides participants networking and relationship building opportunities with local and international visitors. Participants will also have access to new markets. For us as a Pan African bank, it is one of the several ways we are supporting small businesses.”

“Participation is free, and you are welcome to invite family, and friends to be part of the fair. This exhibition also presents an opportunity not only to sell and buy products but to experience the luxuriance and ingenuity of fashion and lifestyle trends and a variety of music and food for everyone and much more”. She stated.

Ecobank Nigeria has recently embarked on several initiatives to promote SMEs. Apart from the highly successful Adire Lagos Experience, the bank currently holds monthly MySME Growth Series targeted at training and empowering over 1 million SME operators across the country before the end of the year.
