FCT Resident Doctors Commence Seven-day Warning Strike

The Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Capital Territory, commenced a seven-day warning strike.

The President, George Ebong, alongside other members of the executive announced this development in communiqué issued on Monday at the end of their meeting.
The doctors described the FCT health system as one plagued by long-standing systemic failures, calling for urgent and comprehensive reforms.
Ebong noted that resident doctors in the territory are under intense pressure, often compelled to cover multiple departments simultaneously.
This action came weeks after Nigerian nurses and midwives commenced a warning strike on July 29, 2025, after the government reportedly failed to respond meaningfully to its 15-day ultimatum issued on July 14, 2025.
