FG Says Over 3000 Nigerians Entered For 2025 NextGen Challenge

Over 3000 Nigerians entered for the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2025, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, disclosed, reports Business Today NG

Nnaji, who made this disclosure during the showcase of the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2025 in Abuja, said“This year, over 3,000 innovation entries were received from all 36 states and the FCT.”

From this incredible pool of talent, 74 finalists have emerged, ” minister disclosed, adding that they are all testament to the ingenuity, courage, and brilliance that define the Nigerian spirit.

While showering praises on the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) for creating a national platform that speaks directly to the aspirations of Nigerian youth and the future of the country, Nnaji the project was an embodiment of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Director-General of NBTI, Dr Kazeem Kolawole Raji, said at least two trailblazers from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT made it to this stage.

Raji disclosed that the top 37 innovators would earn their place on a global innovation, just as he also added that they were the living proof that Nigeria’s greatest resource is not beneath the ground but within its people.
