Fire Guts Vehicle in Polaris Bank Building on Lagos Island, No Casualties Recorded

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) has successfully extinguished a fire outbreak that occurred on the third floor of the Polaris Bank Building located at 61/65 Broad Street, Lagos Island.

According to the agency, the incident was reported at about 11:33 a.m. on Thursday and involved a stationary saloon car parked on the third floor of the 17-storey building, which is used as a parking facility.

Firefighters from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations responded swiftly to the emergency and successfully contained the blaze before it could spread to other vehicles or sections of the building.

The fire caused damage only to the affected vehicle and its immediate surroundings. No injuries or loss of life were recorded.

The LSFRS confirmed that the firefighting operation was successfully concluded, with normal activities fully restored in the area.
