According to a statement issued on Monday by DCP Anthony Placid, the arrests were made by operatives from the Force Intelligence Department’s Special Tactical Squad (FID-STS).

The statement noted that the police achieved a major breakthrough through the operation, which led to the capture of four suspected criminals and the seizure of weapons and ammunition in Kaduna State.

Those arrested include Abdumumini Abubakar (40), Maikano Gambo (47), Saleh Thompson (47), and Oyonyi Odango (40). They were apprehended on March 7, 2026, following reliable intelligence reports.

Recovered items from the suspects consist of four AK-47 rifles with magazines, 80 rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, and a locally made pistol along with 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
