The Federal Road Safety Corps Lagos Sector Command today at her Ojodu office handed over Toyota Matrix with registration number GWA 905 BC which was recovered at the Arepo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The car was towed by FRSC officials in a bid to clear the corridor of obstruction on 3rd November, 2022.
The men in the Command’s duty room after waiting for the owner to show up for retrieval of the car, tried recovering the phone number of the owner via NVIS portal with the vehicle registration number but the phone number wasn’t provided during registration hence the phone number found on an ID card bearing Mr Adeoye Michael in the vehicle was called.
He informed the caller that the vehicle was stolen during a robbery incident at his residence.
Michael said, the case was reported immediately at the nearest Police Station.
The Command also reported the case to Nigeria Police, Ojodu Divisional Station under its jurisdiction.
The vehicle was today Monday 5th December, 2022 handed over to IPO in charge of the case in company of Mr Adeoye Michael the owner of the vehicle and the officer from Ojodu Divisional Station SP Akinwande Adeyemi
by the representative of Sector Commander FRSC Lagos Sector Command Deputy Corps Commander Azubuike Onyemeh DCC Admin and Human Resources .
The Sector Commander Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide while commending the officials for their diligence, admonished motorists to always provide correct information while registering their vehicles and also during the driver’s license process.
He also said citizens should always raise alarm whenever a vehicle is abandoned within their vicinity.
