The passenger who was accused of assaulting airline officials on an Ibom Air flight, Comfort Emmanson, has issued a statement following her release from prison, reports Business Today NG.
Emmanson on her intergram post on Wednesday, 13 August, 2025, confirmed she had regained freedom, adding that she was still in pains in the wake of the incident.
She promised to tell her side of the story after some rest and medical treatment.
“Thank you so much for all the Prayers, Love, and support. I’ve been released from the Prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated,” she said.
“I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event.
“Thank you so much my Lovely Friends and Supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. God bless y’all.”
Emmanson was released from the Kirikiri prison after the magistrate court struck out the five-count charge filed against her by the police.
The police withdrew the charges bordering on alleged assault and unruly behaviour.
