INEC, USAID’s Collaborates On Free, Peaceful And Fair Elections In Nigeria

The Deputy Administrator, United States Agency for International Development, Isobel Coleman, on Thursday met with the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu. They discussed USAID’s support for free, peaceful, and fair elections in Nigeria. She praised the Commission’s efforts to educate voters and tackle fake news, mis-and dis-information. She also reaffirmed the United States’ long-standing support for democracy in Nigeria and an accessible, inclusive electoral process.
