The President of dmg events, Matt Denton,  has disclosed that investors target $668bn infrastructure market at Lagos expo as the company hosts its Lagos exhibition, focused on infrastructure expansion and the rising demand for energy-efficient heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technologies in the region.

The company, which made this disclosure a statement, noted that the West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria, announced by dmg events, are scheduled to be held from April 7 to 9, 2026.

It stated, “dmg events expands in Africa with two new shows in Lagos: West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria. The event will bring together government officials, investors and industry players to discuss urban connectivity, power supply, water and waste management, digital infrastructure and sustainable technologies.”

The President of dmg events, Matt Denton, according to the statement, explained that urbanisation and climate challenges are reshaping the future of West Africa.

“With West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria, we are creating focused events that not only highlight the scale of opportunity but also address, in tandem, infrastructure development and climate-conscious technologies.

“The Expo will feature discussions on projects including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Railway, Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Highway, Escravos Seaport Industrial Complex and Africa Data Centre, Accra. The event also aligns with Nigeria’s National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan, which aims to increase infrastructure stock to 70 per cent of GDP by 2043.

“HVACR Nigeria will run alongside, addressing rising demand for energy-efficient technologies that improve air quality and performance in urban and industrial developments. Nigeria’s HVACR sector is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 8.78 per cent between 2025 and 2029, according to Statista Market Insights. The exhibitions will provide a platform for international solution providers and local businesses to strengthen collaboration and support the region’s development goals,” Denton said.
