ipNX Meets NCC Chairman to Deepen Tech Sector Collaboration

BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR—senior team from ipNX Nigeria Limited, a prominent player in the Information and Communications Technology sector, has visited the chairman  of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Idris Olorunnimbe.

The engagement served as an avenue to express goodwill toward the new leadership and to reaffirm ipNX’s dedication to the nation’s broadband expansion goals. Key conversations centered on fostering stronger synergy between industry operators and the regulatory body to boost internet accessibility and promote widespread digital inclusion across the country.

During the interaction, the Group Managing Director of ipNX Nigeria, Ejovi Aror, highlighted the critical role of effective governance and aligned strategies in driving the country’s technology ambitions.

He noted that engaging with the Commission’s leadership at this time reflects their confidence in the direction of the sector.

He further stressed that purposeful leadership and well-defined policies are vital for maximizing opportunities within Nigeria’s digital landscape. According to him, ipNX remains devoted to partnering with the Commission and other relevant parties to widen internet reach, improve connectivity in schools, and reduce the gap in digital access. He added that such joint efforts would positively impact countless Nigerians and strengthen the nation’s standing in Africa’s tech ecosystem.

In response, the NCC Chairman, Idris Olorunnimbe, expressed gratitude for the visit and the encouragement received, while reaffirming the Commission’s resolve to create a supportive atmosphere that enables private sector involvement in achieving nationwide broadband availability.
