Lasaco Assurance And Lagos State Govt Disburse N978.62m To Families Of Deceased Civil Servants

Lasaco Assurance Plc, in collaboration with the Lagos State Government and a consortium of underwriters and brokers, has disbursed ₦978.62 million in insurance benefits to over 510 families of deceased public servants.

‎The event, held over the weekend underscores the state’s commitment to supporting the families of those who dedicated their lives to public service.

Representing Lasaco Assurance Plc were the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Razzaq Abiodun; General Manager of Business Development Mr. Muyiwa Anwoju, and Assistant General Manager for the Public Sector Mrs. Ronke Babaita.

Their presence highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to providing financial security for civil servants across Lagos State.

‎At the ceremony, Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Abayomi Oluyomi, reaffirmed that the government is dedicated to the welfare of its civil servants and their families, both during and after their service.

‎Also, Managing Director of Lasaco Assurance Plc, Mr. Razzaq Abiodun, Razzaq Abiodun described the initiative as “an embodiment of protection, providing both asset and welfare packages for the deceased and living members of the civil service in Lagos State.”

‎Hon. Femi Saheed, Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Finance, commended the state’s consistency in maintaining adequate insurance coverage for its workforce.

‎The officials at the event also urged beneficiaries to manage the funds cautiously, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy to ensure the support serves its intended purpose.
