Let Us Strive To Build A Fair, Transparent Market – Agama Tells Stakeholders

Stakeholders in the capital market have been urged to strive to build a capital market that is fair, transparent, and inclusive.

Director General of the SEC, Dr. Emomotimi Agama stated this in a Christmas Message to the capital market Community in Abuja.

Agama who wished them  and their loved ones a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year, also reminded them that only a fair and transparent capital market can attract investors both local and foreign.

According to him, “As we celebrate the joy, love, and magic of the season, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders in the Nigerian capital market for your tireless efforts, commitment, and resilience. Remember that we need to remain steadfast and resolute in our determination to have the capital market that we desire.

While thanking issuers, investors, intermediaries, and other market participants, for their  continued trust and confidence in the market, the SEC DG said their contributions have been instrumental in shaping the Nigerian capital market into a vibrant and attractive destination for investors.

He said, “On behalf of the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria, I wish you and your loved ones a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year. May your hearts be filled with joy, your homes be filled with laughter, and your spirits be renewed”.

Also felicitating with staff of the SEC, the DG expressed his deepest gratitude to each of them for their  tireless efforts, commitment, and passion for the capital market.

He said, “Your hard work and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the Nigerian capital market into a vibrant and attractive destination for investors. I am honored to lead such a talented and driven team.

“May this special time of the year bring you and your loved ones joy, peace, and happiness. May your hearts be filled with love, your homes be filled with laughter, and your spirits be renewed.

“Thank you for being an integral part of the SEC Nigeria family. I am excited to see what the New Year holds for us!
