NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR–Timothy Adegoke, the missing postgraduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, has been found dead at Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife, own by Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin.
Timothy Adegoke, who was strangled and buried in a shallow grave within the hotel premises left Abuja on Friday 5th November 2021 to Akure airport, from there to Ife for his MBA examination.
He later lodged at Hilton Hotels and Resorts at Ile Ife in Osun state. The hotel which was located opposite Ife Central Local Government.
He was at the hotel they allocated him room 305 after payment of thirty seven thousand naira (N37,000) for two nights.
meanwhile, Osun State Police Command today arrested Ramon Adedoyin, in connection with his death.
The spokesperson for Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, earlier said that a case of a missing person was reported November 7, at Edun Abon Police Station, adding that the matter was later transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation on November 9, 2021.
Opalola also said after the matter was received at the SCID, detectives swung into action and arrested 6 suspects in connection with the matter.
But Opalola in another statement further explained in addition to the previous arrest, “the chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin was also arrested on 15th November, 2021.
“He is currently in police detention, undergoing interrogation in connection with the case while awaiting the autopsy report from the hospital.”
