Bruit Costaud, an affiliate of Ballard Partners United States has commended the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) on its landmark achievements in deepening Nigerians participation in the oil industry.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Managing Partner of the firm, gave the commendation on Thursday during a working visit to the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa.

Mohammed, the immediate past Minister of Information and Culture, also applauded the Executive Secretary of the board, Mr Simbi Kesiye-Wabote on his vision to grow the Nigerian economy.

Describing the Nigerian Content Tower as the “hidden jewel”, the managing partner lamented that many Nigerians were not aware of the giant strides the NCDMB had recorded in stimulating the Nigerian economy.

He harped on the need for strategic communication, noting that his firm’s vision was to bridge the gap between policy and implementation in the public and private sectors.

“What we do at our firm, Bruit Costaud, is to actually create the platform to make the public and private sector talk to each other rather than talk at one another.

“Our experience in government, media and private sector has shown that there is that yearning gap between policy and implementation.

“This is largely due to the distrust that is harboured by both parties. We believe that there is also the need to amplify the positive achievements of organisations.

“Like when I made my presentation, I dwell more on what NCDMB has been able to achieve in ensuring that Nigerians have a solid foothold in the oil industry;  we believe that there is a need to support the excellent work being done.”

Kesiye-Wabote in his remarks emphasised the need for communication amplification as a strategy to reach more Nigerians on the numerous achievements of the NCDMB.

“I agree with Lai Mohammed on amplifying our achievements because we can never communicate enough.

“Every avenue we find to communicate we must utilise it. Our country also does not communicate enough of the good things in the country,” he added. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the former minister was accompanied on the visit by the company’s Senior Consultant, Government Affairs, Olajumoke Bamigbola.
