NIS Concludes strategic border tour

The Nigeria Immigration Service conducted a strategic border assessment tour of Jibiya and Babanmutun Border Control Posts in Katsina state from 26th to 27th June, 2025.

The Comptroller General, KN Nandap, pcc, mmis, fsmn, was represented by Deputy Comptroller General, MT Umar,  ICT and Cybersecurity Directorate alongside Assistant Comptroller General, SP Jika, Border Directorate and other Senior Officers.

The Border tour was undertaken to evaluate the operational readiness, needs assessment, and overall security architecture of Jibiya and Babanmutum Border Control Posts.

With the completion of the two-day strategic tour, Nigeria Immigration Service has demonstrated, it remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the Nation’s borders through application of innovative technologies, continuous capacity building, and inter-agency collaboration.
