Ogun bye-Election: Two INEC Staff, PDP Chieftains With Huge Cash In Ogun Police Net

Operatives of the Ogun State Command in the early hours of Saturday, 16 August, 2025 arrested two members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and two staffers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Iperu Remo, with large sums of cash allegedly meant for rigging the by-election into the Remo Federal Constituency House of Representatives, reports Business TodayNG
Business Today NG learnt that the suspects, who were arrested in the early hours of Saturday, are reported to have provided very useful information to the police regarding their respective roles in the grand plan to bribe election officials and rig the House of Representatives by-election.
In a video recording, police could be seen interrogating the suspects comprising four males and a female.
The INEC staffers, a man who identified himself simply as Constance and a woman who identified herself as Amina, claimed to have been sent by their supervisor to collect the money from a certain PDP politician in the area.
