The Lagos State Chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has backed Tinubu candidature for second term, saying he has chances of winning in the 2027 general elections.

President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos Chief Sunday Udeh, who stated this while speaking during a reconciliation parley organised by Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, said Tinubu remains a capable and experienced leader who understands governance and deserves re-election.

The meeting, held in Lagos, aimed to strengthen harmony between Yoruba and Igbo residents following recent demolitions in the state.

Udeh, who urged both ethnic groups to continue living peacefully, warning against divisive sentiments, said “We are not in doubt of his victory in 2027. We know our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), will win again,” he stated.

He called on the Lagos State Government to maintain engagement with the Igbo community and other ethnic groups to promote inclusiveness and unity.

The National President of the Market Leaders Association of Nigeria (TMLAN), Deacon Charles Obih, also speaking at the event, pledged the Igbo business community’s support for Tinubu’s re-election.

“We will mobilise our members to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election is smooth and successful by the grace of God,” Obih said, describing the President as a pragmatic leader addressing Nigeria’s challenges with determination,” he said.
