One Kidnapper Neutralised as Troops Raid Hideout in Kaduna State

In continuation with the offensive operations against criminals, troops of the Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE (JTF OPEP) conducted an operation as part of Operation PEACE SHIELD. This operation targeted a kidnappers’ hideout in Jagindi Kagom village, JEMAA Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

On 02 January, 2026, acting on credible information, troops from Sector 7 conducted an offensive clearance operation at identified kidnappers’ hideouts in Jagindi Kagom village, Jemaa Local Government Area, Kaduna State. During the operation, troops engaged the criminals, resulting in the neutralization of one criminal, later identified as Dahiru Adamu Barka, while others escaped. Sector 7 troops are currently tracking the remaining criminal elements to ensure they face the full wrath of the law.

The General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace (JTF OPEP) Maj Gen EF Oyinlola commended the troops for their success in the ongoing operations aimed at eliminating all forms of criminality in the Joint Operation Area (JOA). He also urged law-abiding citizens to share credible information with security agencies.

JTF Operation ENDURING PEACE remains committed to sustaining pressure on criminal elements and ensuring the safety and security of law-abiding citizens across the JOA.
