BY NKECHI NAECHE—-The National Pension Commission(PenCom) on Monday directed all Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) to update the records of their clients with National Identification Number ( NIN).

The commission also urged all Retirement Savings Account holders, both active and retired, are to approach their PFAs to provide their NINs and Bank Verification Numbers, as well as other mandatory biodata information.

The Federal Government made it mandatory that every Nigerian must have a National Identification Number (NIN). To achieve this, all data generating organizations have been directed to harmonize their databases with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), whose mandate it is to implement the National Identity System in Nigeria.

The statement added that all enquiries regarding this announcement should be directed to the following e-mail address: ndmd_secretariat@pencom.gov.ng.
