Aduvie commences Pre-University programme

In a bid to endure that their students as well as other Nigerians hoping to be admitted into the university both home and abroad receive the requisite preparation, Aduvie International School Jahi, Abuja has officially commenced its pre-university programme.

This was disclosed by the proprietress of the School, Mrs Lott-J as part of activities marking the 10th year Anniversary of the school in Abuja weekend.

According to Mrs Lott-J, the programme will commence in September and will cover University of Cambridge ‘A’ Levels, Nigerian ‘A’ Levels, UTME and O’ Level Grades/Post UTME preparatory classes, SAT/TOEFL/IELTS, tailored programmes for individuals as well as Aduvie Global Leadership Development Programme.

The Programme also has a wide range of extra-curricular activities to help students enrich their college experience She said her dream and passion for establishing an institution that would graduate children of unparalleled excellence with strength of character and grounded in knowledge was borne out of the believe that every child has the innate ability to learn; and as educators, it is our duty to ensure that every child maximizes this opportunity to attain their full potential.

The Proprietress announced that full and partial Scholarships are available to highly deserving students who have been enjoined to contact the school for details

The Aduvie dream she said, became a reality on the 8th of January, 2008, with two pupils and four teachers in a five bedroom bungalow in Wuse 2. This vision took root, was nurtured and produced what today, we are all proud to call ‘Our Aduvie’.

“Our hard work, your efforts and contributions as well as God’s immeasurable blessings led us to a bigger facility still in Wuse 2, and now to our permanent site here in Jahi, Abuja.

“Now, with humble pride, deep gratitude to you all and above all to God, I wish to inform us that we have almost 600 students and staff strength of over 200.

As an institution with national and international recognition, Aduvie has participated in many social and educational competitions and flown many flags of victory.

Lott-J disclosed that the school has won the Nigerian Advancement Award for the Best Performing Primary School in Abuja, the African Achievers’ Award, the African Achievers’ Impact Award and 1st positions in many spelling bee competitions, and debates.

Others are 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in many sporting activities both within and outside Abuja, Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship National Competition for four consecutive years from 2015-2018, representing Nigeria in the US for these 4 years.

She said the journey and all the successes and achievements recorded have come with many highs and lows, but they stand tall amidst these challenges and triumphs, while aiming to soar higher and exceed expectations.

“In Aduvie, we strive to groom total children by developing them academically, building skills in sports, music, and entrepreneurship as well as ensuring that they are grounded in character and good behavior. Just like us, our students believe in the words of Tim Notke that “Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard”, thus, we all work as a team to attain more feats. I say a very big thank you to my students for all their hard work and efforts” she added.
