REGIC Donates Books, School Bags To Command Day Secondary School To Mark Int’l Children’s Day

BY NKECHI NAECHE- ESEZOBOR— Royal Exchange General Insurance Limited ( REGIC), marked this year’s International Children’s Day in grand style by celebrating with the students of Command Day Secondary School, Oshodi, Lagos.

This joyous occasion was highlighted by a series of engaging and educational activities, underscoring the company’s commitment to the development and well-being of the younger generation.

The event, held on Friday 24th May 2024, featured donation of books, school bags and several writing materials to the students.

The event also featured variety of interactive sessions, games, and motivational talks aimed at inspiring and empowering the students.

In her keynote the Managing Director/ CEO, Mrs. Mrs Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, who was represented by the Head of Corporate Communications, Emmanuel Ndoh, emphasized the importance of investing in the future of children.

“We believe that children are the future leaders of our society. Investing in them now is a worthy endeavor. By providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need, we are helping to build a brighter future for our community and our nation.”

She said Royal Exchange General has a longstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility, and this event is part of the company’s broader initiative to support education and youth development in Nigeria.

She noted that the company’s engagement with Command Secondary School, Oshodi, is a testament to its dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for young minds to thrive.

“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to celebrate International Children’s Day with the wonderful students of Command Secondary School. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are truly inspiring, and we are proud to play a role in their journey towards becoming future leaders.”

The students participated in various activities designed to enhance their learning experience and personal development. These included educational workshops, health and wellness seminars. Each activity was carefully planned to not only entertain but also to educate and inspire the students.
