Registered RSA Holders Increase By 182.7% In Seven Months- PenCom

BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR–The National Pension Commission (PenCom) said total Retirement Saving Account (RSA) registrations grew by 182.7% from January to July, 2021.

The commission in its report made available to BusinessToday Online said number of RSA registrations rose from 9,236,841 million as at 30th of January 2021 to 9,405,553 million at the end of July, 2021.

In its breakdown the Commission said registrations for the month of February stood at 9,265,141 while March registrations rose to 9,300,058 million.

The total number of registrations for the month of April was 9,328,340 million, 9,354,527million was achieved at the end of May while number of workers that registered in June stood at 9,383,204.

Pension fund assets was not left out as it recorded a growth of N470 billion from January to July 2021.

According to the Commission pension fund assets went up from N12.31 trillion as at December 31, 2020 to N12.78 trillion by July 31, 2021.
