Report Banks That Refuse To Sell BTA/PTA Forex/ CBN Tells Customers

BY JOYCE AMADI —–The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Wednesday called on customers to report any bank that refuses to attend to their legitimate demands for BTA/PTA and forex for pilgrimage within 24 hours
The bank in a statement said it reliably gathered that some banks were turning back customers that come to purchase BTA/PTA and forex for pilgrimage.

“We hereby appeal to bank customers to go straight to their banks to buy forex as the CBN has supplied enough dollars to the banks to meet needs in the invisibles segment,” the statement said.

The CBN said customers should call the number 07002255226 to report any refusal.
